CATE 2012 was a great success!  We held a “train the trainer” seminar in Port Harcourt, where the coaches that attended were very enthusiastic about American Football coming to Africa. The Sports Mentoring camp was a huge success as children were taught the basics of American football. In his steering speech, our founder, Amobi Okoye, let each child know they can and will succeed in life. He encouraged them to stay in school, get an education and work hard. The children began to chant “I will succeed”! South Africa was a great experience. We were able to visit several schools and had the opportunity to visit one of the poorest areas in the country. CATE is working with the schools in this area to bring in books and medical supplies from the U.S.   Please join us in this effort.
